What Results Can I Expect? Dampen the surface with water. The way the surface looks like when it's wet is what this product will make the surface look like permanently. If the damage is limited to the clearcoat the scratch or scuff will vanish when it gets wet. The same applies to color damage. If the pigment is too faded or worn away it will not rejuvenate when it gets wet. If the color is damaged the color must be repaired or replaced before you use this product.
Does this Product Require the Ultraviolet (UV) Light in Sunlight to Cure. This product use the same chemistry as "light cured "dental fillings. They cure through a chemical reaction that harden them until they are dry to the touch. They do not "dry" because they contain nothing that evaporates.
How Fast Does It Cure? Cure as fast as 1 hour is possible in full sunlight at 80F, cure rate slows with overcast skies and cooler temperatures.
Does This Product React to UV Light Quickly. Never pour this product directly onto the work surface as it will harden quickly. Should this happen, you will need to treat it like a clearcoat flaw-wet sand and polish.
It should take 10-15 seconds to do 1 sq ft.
Until Cured, This Product Should Flow Like Oil. After you apply it, give it time to self level. Apply at termperatures above 55F as it will take longer to self level at cooler temperatures.
Keep Sunlight Out of the Bottle. Poke a small hole in the foil seal to keep sunlight out, or cover your thumb as you apply the product.
Use Plain PaperTowels. Use cheap, disposable plain papertowels to apply this product. Lighly apply this product by hand. Do Not Rub because papertowels can scratch the surface. As the product starts to harden on the papertowel, replace with a new one. Dispose the papertowels as non-hazardous waste.
For Best Results on Oxidized Surfaces. Applying this product directly to oxidized car paint will rejuvenate faded colors. However, this product is colorless and will not replace or repair missing or damaged color. To get a high gloss result, you need to remove the oxidation first. For best coverage and hightest gloss results, oxidation should be compunded off by using a wax-free compund. The higher the surface gloss is before application, the higher the final gloss will be.
How To Tell If Too Much Product Was Applied and How To Correct. After application, lightly brush your fingers over the surface. If your fingers look well then there's too much product on the surface. Simply spread out the product or wipe off the excess. Lightly wipe away any streaks caused by your fingers. If the surface is still wet or tacky after 2-days in sunlight, then too much product was applied. Simply use soap & water and wash the surface. Washing away the tacky film will leave a dull surface. To get a high gloss, either apply a thin layer of the and and allow it to cure or polish the surface.
How to Tell If Too Little Product Was Used and How to Correct It. Apply too little product caused dry looking streaks or splotchy area. This product is self leveling but there needs to be enough product on the surface to self level. To get rid of dry streak or splotches simply apply more product until the surface looks uniform.
